About Hope for Rural Widows Kenya
Operating in Nairobi, Samburu, and Meru counties, we provide holistic support to transform the lives of elderly widows in Kenya and beyond.
Our Mission
To empower widows to become self-reliant through economic initiatives, and to provide essential support like housing, food, education, and healthcare. We foster a community of strength, resilience, and hope.

A future where every widow in Kenya has the resources and support to lead a dignified, secure, and fulfilling life, contributing actively to her community.
Our Programs
We run several programs aimed at uplifting widows and their communities.
Economic Empowerment
Our 'Chama' program includes table banking and merry-go-rounds, providing widows with access to capital and a strong support network to start businesses.
Housing & Care Program
We build safe and secure homes for the most vulnerable widows and provide feeding programs to ensure no family goes hungry.
Amani Visionary Youth Group
Supporting the next generation with educational scholarships, mentorship, and healthcare access for both youth and their widowed mothers.
Tuzidi Kusoma Program
Encouraging education in Rural Meru county by offering performance incentives to primary and secondary school students, reducing dropout rates and improving literacy.
Professional Help
Offering free legal, health and financial assistance to widows and the community with the main aim of improving their bottom lines. Made posbbible by partnerships with organizaitons such as EFAC,JoyWo and Ithamare Polytechnic, among others.
Social Support
Empowering marginalized widows by offering professional and community therapy, helping them become better adjusted people and improving their mental wellbeing.
